I am writing this as I sit in my hotel room in northern California, my 2nd of 3 trips to California over the course of 4 weeks. The team and I have been flying around the country installing new POWER9 systems.
Alaska, California, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Michigan, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Maine, and Virginia. That is a lot of flying, a lot of trips, and a lot of CPWs getting installed. So, I can report that we had a great second quarter, and with all the traveling for installing POWER9 machines, you can see why.
The future belongs to those who stay with IBM i, and work with iTech Solutions. I keep seeing people try to leave the platform, and then after unsuccessfully trying to migrate and come back, they realize the power of the machine they already have. If you are struggling with understanding how to succeed with IBM i on Power Systems, invite us in for a short meeting where we can show you the benefits.
Look, every business partner sells the same IBM hardware, but that is where the similarity ends. Read this newsletter, and if your business partner is helping you succeed and provide you education like iTech Solutions is, then stay with them. If they aren’t, come talk with us. It can’t hurt, and at the end of the day, you will have a better understanding of what your business partner should be doing for you.
Our 9 innings with Power9 baseball games have been a great time, and based on the feedback we are receiving from attendees, they are very informative and fun. We have a few more still to come, so if we are in your area in the next few weeks, I look forward to seeing you at the game. We had 3 baseball games one with Boomers in Schaumberg, IL, the second with the Ducks in West Islip Long Island, and the third was with the Pawtucket Red Sox. At the games, we have a suite and do a short presentation on POWER9 and IBM i 7.4, and then sit back, relax, eat, drink, and enjoy the game. What a fantastic time at the games so far.
See the events page for additional games coming to Manchester NH, Northern NJ, New Britain CT, and Grand Rapids MI. We hope if you are in the area you can make one of the games.
I hope you have heard about our podcast, iPOWER Hour, which we started as well. We currently have 5 episodes available. We’re currently streaming on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Play, YouTube, and our website.
In addition to our baseball games and podcast, we’ve been hosting a webinar every month. Our upcoming webinars on the schedule are:
